Question I have problem with display resolution!

I have problem with display resolution! I adjust my display resolution to 1248x1024 in order tomake the display area full screen. But after I log out and get back, the result is i can not see anything on my screen.
Please anybody can help me how to restore previous resolution setting?
I use Linux redhat 9 on my laptop.

Thanks a lot

Minh

open /etc/X11/xorg.conf or /etc/X11/XFree86.conf something like.

go to Section "Screen"

Do changes in following line as follows:

Modes "800x600" "640x480"

And restart xfs server /etc/init.d/xfs restart.

and do startx

It will help
