Do you already have a camera/headset? Do they work in other apps on your desktop machine?

I have a 2 year old Lenovo laptop. Everything A/V (camera, mic and bluetooth headset) works great on zoom meetings and almost everything else A/V. But I find that when I try to use my bluetooth headset/mic on Discord, I get varying results. In this case, it's obviously a problem in the Discord app and alsa, and not the hardware or drivers. Just something else for you to consider. I have never used Skype on Linux, so cannot attest to it's functionality.
