Hi , i need help having my desktop icons notm being re arrange after every reboot. im using kde and arch.


Hi, im using coffee linux aka arch based distro and using kde.

im having troubles on my hp laptop. the desktop icons keep re arranging themselves after every reboot.

can you help?

You don't provide much information, but you might try this.

Right-click on the desktop-->Configure Desktop and Wallpaper-->Icons-->Arrangement and check "Lock in Place."

is lock in place the only way to keep them rearranging every time when you reboot?

or is there another way to fully make sure they stay in place.

im not sure what else to say.

all they do is they all over the place on the desktop after when you reboot.

Why not try it first? If it works, your problem is solved. If it doesn't, that will be the time to ask if there is another way to approach this.

Did you read post 2? A suggestion was made, try it. If you want to know every possible method to make this change, it is up to you to do the research since it is a problem for you. Did you try to make any change suggested? If so, what happened? Did you try other suggestions. You seem like you want others to do the research for you so if you have tried different things, explain what you did so you don't get the same suggestion. The people here are volunteers and don't owe you anything.
