Question Hi, i am facing the problem in /var/tmp


when I run the software, in /var/tmp folder will be created after certain period of time it is showing the error in /var/tmp goes to read only mode.

when i restart the machine i am getting the error /var/ related folders are in read only after Restart again i can run the software and also i can create the folder inside /var/tmp.

please help me on this..in case it any permission problem.

Please post the output of ls -l /var/ once you boot up. Then again after the error.

Might help if you actually told us WHAT "the software" is, how you're running it, on what hardware/disks, and on what version/distro of Linux. Also might help if you posted the current permissions of things.

All you've told us so far is you're having a problem with "the software", when you 'run' it.
