Yeh true... I was just thinking of personal use in this case though... Gnome-3 fallback mode is supposed to fulfil this need in corporate circles of course

Yeh I personally feel that Canonical has regressed the interaction/switching between FOSS and proprietary kernel drivers over the years... Too many distractions, for too few developers - e.g. building a rather completely pointless new Desktop every 2 years, etc...

Ah well - guess we'd better not hi-jack this thread any more!!
