Angry File system check error

I am a PhD scholar at JMI, India. I run simulations on redhat Enterprise Linux 6.4. This morning when I started the system, I found file check error. The screen shows:

Starting udev:. [OK]
Setting hostname localhost.localdomain:. [OK]
Setting up Logical Volume Management: 3 logical volume(s) in Volume group "VolGroup" now active
[OK]

Checking filesystems
/dev/mapper/VolGroup-lv_root: Superblock last mount time (Mon Oct 21 17:11:31 2019,
now = The Jan 3 10:05:08 2012) is in the future.

/dev/mapper/VolGroup-lv_root: UNEXPECTED INCONSISTENCY; RUN fsck MANUALLY.
(i.e., without -a or -p options)
[FAILED]
*** An error occurred during the file system check.
*** Dropping you to the shell; the system will reboot when you leave the shell
Give root password for maintenance
(or type Control-D to continue):

Please let me know the solution if possible.

Your BIOS clock seems to be stuck in the past, and that is confusing fsck.

Yes, I have rebooted the system again and again, and it's stuck in the same state.
I believe I have to change the CMOS clock of the system.

I, finally, changed the CMOS battery and run fsck manually. After couple of tries, it booted, then I corrected the date and time setting to present. Since then, it has been booting perfectly.
