Dual Boot- Red Hat & Kanotix- Want to uninstall Kanotix

Hello All,

I have PC with a dual boot. The two OS- linux's loaded are Red Hat and Kanotix.

GRUB is the boot loader.

I want to know how to uninstall kanotix without disturbing the red hat installation.

Kanotix and red hat are installed on seperate partitions.

Regards,
Santhosh J Veigas.

Which distro does grub belong to, Kanotix or Red Hat? If grub belongs to red hat, you can just delete the Kanotix partition from within Red Hat.

If grub belongs to Kanotix, boot into Red Hat and then do a grub-install /dev/hda (or whatever your drive is called) to install Red Hat's grub to the MBR. The you can just delete the kanotix partition.
