[SOLVED] After installing kmplayer-0.11.2c-1.fc12.i686 ,it can't play videos.

When I play a video.The screen of kmplayer is black without sound.
I tried video format of rmvb、mkv and avi.
None of them worked.
Any one can help me?

'kmplayer' comes with no codecs at all.

Required : libdvdread , libdvdcss. ( libdvdread is probably already installed ? )

'libdvdcss' is in the remi.repo http://rpms.famillecollet.com/
Please download http://rpms.famillecollet.com/remi-release-12.rpm
# rpm -Uvh remi-release-12.rpm
# gedit /etc/yum.repos.d/remi.repo
..... and edit the first "enable=0" entry to enable=1
( Not the testing.)

# yum install libdvdread libdvdcss
..... And I guess you can watch video.

fedora 12 is at End Of Life
there is and never will be any more support for fedora 12 ( 12 is worm food)

please stay current and do a clean full reinstall with fedora 14
then for the mplayer and other codecs see mjm's help page

But finally I install smplayer .It did solve my problem.

Just remember that the update on Dec. 2 is the VERY LAST .
There will be no more software updates for fedora 12 .
