Wally Desktop Background Changer in Linux Deepin
I became interested in the Wally desktop background screen changer while using other ubuntu-compatible linux distros. I have version 2.4.4 installed in Linux Deepin.
It works well enough, but if you have the program load when you log into Deepin, the program icon doesn't load to the toolbar at the top of the screen. If I want to modify Wally's settings, go to Wally's history to download a screen theme to save to my PC, etc., I have to use a workaround: start System Monitor under System Tools, and stop Wally. Then, I restart Wally from within Terminal. The program icon loads to the top of screen toolbar. However, I can only right click on it once to make changes or download screen pictures. After that, if I want to keep using the program icon, I have to exit the terminate and stay resident condition of Wally, say with CTRL-C in terminal, then key in and restart Wally.
If there is a better workaround, so I can load Wally at startup of Linux Deepin and have the icon on the toolbar and accessible with a right click to make changes, I haven't found it yet. If it takes a change to Linux Deepin, hope that can be accomplished in the upcoming release.
