Smile Ten reasons to give Linux Deepin 12.12 beta a shot

Many people hesitate to use a development release for various reasons. However, for those who would like to taste something new, there are definite reasons that your should try Linux Deepin 12.12 beta.

1. Linux Deepin is one of the few distros in the world that has shipped its own desktop environment and had done so much innovative work other than just repackaging or polishing.

2. Getting updates and fixes on an hourly basis. Great features are added from time to time and developers take fast response to bug reports.

3. The system tray and dock panel retains familiar experience to users while having unique features.

4. The featured applications -- Deepin Music, Deepin Player and Deepin Screenshot now comes with newer versions with additional functionality and improved stability.

5. The fine-tuned desktop with groupable application icons lets you organize your desktop effectively.

6. If for some reason you are interested in using a distro with Chinese user interface, then Linux Deepin is your best choice without doubt.

7,8,9 and 10. No, we do not give reasons for the sake of reasoning. The new 12.12 release aims to excel compared to 12.06 running GNOME SHELL. Though there is still room for improvement, the development release itself is worth trying in its own right.

For those interested in trying Linux Deepin 12.12 Beta, note that the ISO images comes with Chinese as the default user interface because the localization work is now half-done is yet to be accomplished. You can easily change your locale to English in /etc/default/locale.

Download ISO: x86 x86_64
