Building Docker on 14.2

I'm trying to build Docker from SBo using the sbopkg. There are a few dependencies. The critical issue I am facing is with the dependencies runc and containerd.

Let's say I'm trying to build containerd. Unfortunately I get the error

Code:
/bin/sh go: command not found
I already have google-go-lang 1.8.5 successfully installed from SBo.
The go compiler shows correctly in GOROOT. I am able to invoke go at a term. However I wish to address the error of building and installing containerd (or runc) using SBo, which is not working.

Are running the slackbuild script as root with full environment ("su -", not "su")?

The main differences I see in 'su root' vs. 'su - root' is that the latter includes a few more locations in PATH. (Oddly, it include fewer locations in PKG_CONFIG_PATH.) Unless 'go' has been installed in an non-standard location and the PATH amended accordingly, I can't see why that would make a difference.

If 'go' is not found, is 'which go' also showing that it's not found? On my old-and-in-need-of-an-upgrade 14.1 system it's in '/usr/bin' which should be part of the PATH definition regardless of whether you use 'su' or 'su -'. If 'go' isn't found, I'd look into the build script.

Note: I'm seeing this thread a 'little' late but I am interested whether the OP found a solution.
