Dear
all
My name is sanjay and i have done RHCE in Last November. During my preparation for RHCE I searched on internet for RHCE study guides and notes several times. My experience was very bad. I had not found even a single site which offer complete RHCE study guide absolutely free. So I decided to launch a site which offer all study notes of RHCE absolutely free even without require a login. I request all of you to review this site and please tell what else should I update on site to make it more useful for the students who are doing study for RHCE. My site is
1. X Windows system
2. May show how to setup printers through command line
3. Many other ways of troubleshooting with grub say what to do when you delete /bin/bash file
I found one step missing under Raid partition step by step example and implementations.
After creating Raid Partition and adding it to /etc/fstab, It will not be accessible in next reboot until you define /etc/mdadm.conf file, which stores details of all the RAID partitions.
Hope you may have to add one more step in your tutorial.
In order to skip having to create a /etc/mdadm.conf; make sure to set the partition type (in fdisk) for the two partitions as a Software Raid Partition and not just an ordinary partition before creating the raid.
I used to create the mdadm.conf too; until I found that I was missing the above crucial step.
I hope /etc/mdadm.conf is must. Even after defining partition as fd (Linux Raid) my Raid Partition was not sustaining after reboot. Please have a look Here
After creating /etc/mdadm.conf my problem got solved.
I on the other hand encountered the opposite.... I used RHEL 5.3 and created the RAID manually without having any existing raid devices already set up during os installation. RAID also was retained after reboots.... weird. oh well. what ever works; thats whats important for the rhce exam.
