Details needed on Linux programming Certifications

Hi all,

I would like to get some details regarding getting certified in Linux programming. I've heard of RHCE and all.. but those are in the Admin. side . I'm kind of interested in doing something which can make me valuable to the Linux system programming Industry..
Presently I'm working as a Software Engineer , the main development here is in Perl. Also bit of C++. But I'm good in C and C++. I've done a project in using Qt also...

Thanks in advance..

Was actually thinking of another thread when I read about the Zend PHP certification exam, but this thread was newer and unanswered...

Anyway, so I guess that makes two of 'em now. The other being Sun certified programmer for the Java platform of course.

Just saw the latest SCJP (Sun Certified Java Programmer) training material at my local Borders. A quick google search found the book here too: http://books.mcgraw-hill.com/getbook...3606&template=

Doesn't say on website, but read on back cover that one of the authors also worked on actual test for Sun, so looks like this is the book to buy.

BTW, Sun's offering one free retake (should you need it) on selected exams until August 15th. Was thinking about using it for SCSA on Solaris 10 myself, but saw SCJP on the list too.
