Is it really too slow?
Can you provide your hardware description?

Given you don't say what your hardware specs are, what do you expect us to tell you ?

How high is up? Who knows...

No worries, my video hardware is the problem i already know that
I tried to cheat it with some mesa drivers, it works even than i get the error messages above only when i quit VLC.
Not a big deal.
