i know we dont support "ms" but i need urgent software for remote support via the internet that is opensource or freeware that works on win xp and vista,

Yes, we DO support MS (Windows), but we might not the the best resource.

TightVNC might be problematic on Vista. I am pretty sure it has some 16 bit code in it. If that is true, it won't work at all on 64 bit, and I have seen it interfere with other things that were 16 bit on XP.
