Strange Error message on my new laptop

well i bought a laptop for school. it had windows XP home Ed. so i put pro on it and thats were the problem started. before i put pro on it my laptop ran mp3's perfect but now it says i have know sound card, at all! so if you know how to fix this please tell me i must know.

laptop specs: celeron processor, win.XP Pro,512 ram,40 gb Hard drive,toshiba A65 module year 2004.

Well, looks more like a driver problem. Go to the manufacture homepage, search for your laptop model and grab the latest drivers....
