Lightbulb Satellite Imagine made possilble??

Ok we've all seen spy films, and when they use their special computers to zoom in cities and stuff I wondered if that could be made into reality??
Well can it be possible without paying ?? as in videos but not images.
Thanks
Chris

Local TV weather has VIPIR forcast and it allows you to zoom in on various locations. It's not video but it's pretty cool for showing where the storms are.

I think you'll find that the clarity of satellite cameras is a function of their optics not so much the imaging. In other words its the quality of the lenses that allows spy satillites to photograph the fly sitting on your nose. Its simply a Q of choice to stick a still camera or a video camera at the business end.
The issue of video is the radio bandwidth required to send back to earth.
