I am a believer of the victims setting the punishment for people who have wronged them. It would be very nice, in my opinion, if every one of this guy's victims were able to have their own individual punishments inflicted upon him one after the other!!

Considering that he was able to 'hijack' phone lines in the US, and even initiate DDoS attacks, I am surprised that the US has NOT requested to extradite him. All the US has to do, is give the already mountainous evidence to the RCMP, plus I am sure that he would also face charges in Canada. If that were the case, I'm sure that this jackass could face a lengthy amount of time in Canada and then even in the US. The ball is in law enforcement's court of both countries.

Seriously this makes me sad to be canadien, I really wish I could find this guy so I could punch him out, maybe kick his teeth in then ask him to smile for a nice web photo that i wound post on his own site.

That story is BRUTAL. Almost leaves the reader speechless.

This story about Pranknet was done on my local supper-hour television newscast last evening, basically recapping/paraphrasing what the TSG webpage contains. For the record, the TSG 3-page story is FAR better & more complete than the TV story.

IIRC The TV news story seemed to say that (for the time being at least), the FBI or RCMP do not intend to get involved, citing jurisdictional issues (i.e. lack of jurisdiction)

But some of the offenders are US citizens...how can there be a jurisdictional problem?

Logistics and cost of prosecution vs severity of punishment have a lot to do with such excuses. Obviously the members of Pranknet did not bother a government official and pull a hoax on him. Otherwise thay would all be locked up!!

Yes, it seems all or most anyway of the main characters are hardened deviants and miscreants of one sort or another -- though there was on the news article I saw (or maybe it WAS the TSG page) reference to one younger member who decided at one point that ..'this is getting too crazy for me..' or something to that effect; and he distanced himself (obviously not enough distance, or we wouldn't be making mention of him now..)

I have seen it happen right before my eyes when I drove a city bus. The courts are crazy and ineffective. Decent people fear courts and jail and the loss of their jobs.

An elderly woman came up to me when i was driving a bus and told me that two young thieves had just stolen an old man's wallet. I went to the back of the bus and asked for the return of the wallet and got a lot of lip so we all held court right there on the bus.

The old man got his wallet back! The old lady tried to kill one of the thieves with her shoe. I got hurt trying to keep those " Decent Americans " from killing the two knuckleheads as I dragged each of them out of the back door to the bus.

I had to go back to the barn and sign myself out another bus.

Another time some fools were in the back of the bus smoking marijuana. I stopped the bus and told them that they had reached their stop. I told them that the bus was not going to move until they got off.

The passengers removed the individuals from the bus and we went on our way.

Criminals get away with doing what they do because all they presently have to worry about are police departments and district attorneys. When they have to start worrying about decent people they move on.

Human nature is human nature the world over; criminals are nothing but bullies that have not yet been dealt with!!
