PHP question (passing an operation via link)

I have a page set a cookie and reload with contents of "else:" and I would like to have a link on that page to clear the cookie.

How do I do this? I would like to keep this all contained within one page which make is difficult for me because... well, can you pass a command over a "a href"?

the command that i need to execute is

<? setcookie("username")?>

unless theirs a better way that I am not aware of.
