The age old burning question:
emacs or vi/vim?

Ha this will get nasty.
I personally throw my vote to vi, but I haven't used much of emacs.

isn't flamewars (this is bound to turn it to one) forbidden by the rules (trickkid will soon post a link)?

I use emacs, because it allow you to have several files open, and edit the on the same time.

yes this IS an age old question.

Normally it is not so crudely and intentionally phrased to deliberatly try to be contentious. I would advise you (yet again) to think a little more about how you phrase your posts. Probably the most recent genuine version of this thread can be found here, i would thank all other members to conciously contribute to the well-meaning thread linked below rather than ones such as this, which i am now closing.
