I remember taking my sled and some friends toward the nearby hills after a huge snowstorm!! We never got there; all we did was get a bunch of about to deliver pregnant women that were trapped inside cars to the nearby hospital!! We also brought food at fuel for the people stranded inside streetcars and did all we could for many strangers. No one asked us to we just saw the need and reacted!!
When I read about this 9 year old girl it reminded me of how my family raised us to think clearly and ethically; as most everyone did in those old days. I hope the heavens protect this young lady for all serious harm as she pursues her journalism!! Her website looks pretty good!!
She's a smart girl and I agree with most of what she says. But someone should explain to her that when the police put an embargo on a story, it's often because they have useful evidence and don't want the perpetrator to know that. Or they may be on the verge of making an arrest and don't want to scare the suspect away. If a journalist then breaks the story anyway, it could prevent justice being done.
