Question Mozilla mail and windoze XP, server full

Sorry about this being a windoze question but I am a Linux guy so I can't figure this one out.

My bro has win XP and I put Mozilla mail on it for him. He uses Bell South for his ISP and he keeps getting a email that his box is full. I went into preferences and told it to not save the messages after it downloads them. It !seems! that it is still saving them for some reason on the server.

How do I tell it to delete the things already?? Am I missing something here??

My apologies for the windoze question again. I got him a external serial modem a while back and he may be a Linux user before it is over. Solve a few problems then.

Thanks for the help.

Why not just manually delete all the previous e-mails? I'm sure that the server will delete the e-mails once you download them.

That's the point, it does NOT delete them. I have mine set up the same way and mine deletes the emails once they are downloaded, just like it is supposed to but for some reason my brothers does not even though it is set to do so.

I only use Linux so I'm not sure if it is a Mozilla thing, a windoze thing, a ISP thing or something else. I wouldn't think it was a Mozilla thing because it works on mine. Looks like if it was a Mozilla thing it would do the same on mine too. I use a local ISP, they use Linux too, so it may be a ISP thing. I'm just not sure what it is so I posted to see if anyone else has a idea.

They do delete emails a lot. Most of what they get is jokes and such. Once they read them, and maybe forward them on, they delete them.

I say we shoot it.
