Windows discovered a copy of Linux installed. Please wait while it is removed
This would never happen. It would be more like:
Windows has discovered a copy of Linux on your computer. Please wait while it is removed.
Then a second later a paper clip will show up and say:
Opps! It looks like those Linux hackers of already taken stops to prevent us from removing Linux since we use nothing innovative in our products. Windows cannot be installed. We are sorry you have spent your money on Windows and cant even use it.
quote:

Windows discovered a copy of Linux installed. Please wait while it is removed
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
This would never happen as windows filesystem is too old-dated to discover any foreign alien filesystem.

Hehehe... Don't see this happening. M$ kernels are too dumb, the only filesystems they can access are FAT and NTFS (the latter being a ripoff from IBM's HPFS used by OS/2).
Cmon, people, why would you treat a kernel named krnl386.exe (i.e. optimized for a friggin' 386 CPU!!!) seriouly? I don't. But millions of other people do, unfortunately, and they suffer for their ignorance...

Your mouse pointer has moved, please restart windows for this change to take effect.
I still love that wonderful message '95 and '98 used to give telling you off for not shutting windows down properly before running scandisk. I spent many happy hours shouting at the monitor that I would be delighted to shut windows down properly if the bastard thing would stop crashing on me (My fault, I got clever and used a .wav from 2001 of hal saying "I'm completely operational and all my systems are functioning properly" at which point it would crash).

LMAO! Love your idea for the error code! Windoze should be renamed to Restardoze (and later Retardoze).
With regards to your experiences with Scandisk, I feel your pain. I too screamed at my monitor when that happened, knowing perfectly that it was not my monitor's fault.
Well, just to make things worse, some morons at Micro$oft decided to remove any visible hints of DOS (probably a marketing decision) from Windoze ME, and guess what? Scandisk now runs as Windoze loads its device drivers! The &^%$%#$ piece of &%$^%$#@ restarts at least 3 times!!! Now lemme ask the M$ developers a question, which organ did you guys use when you implemented this, huh? Obviously not your brains!!!
BTW, the Windoze ME still runs on a 386-optimized DOS kernel.

Hey, if you dont like it, buy a *&$%##@ Mac! At least then you EXPECT to crash every 2 hours.
