Angry m$ patents asf format!? how will that impact we linux user?

hi, plz check out this link:

http://linuxtoday.com/developer/2000060700220OSMSSW

i think this is complete crap from M$, so what now? if we "hack" the format and put in on linux, and that is consider as illegal??? they gonna start sue whoever can crack the damn code?

my god man, i believe there must be ways to go around their crap, they maybe able to conquar the internet media base on the OS they are selling, but there must be ways for us to get around their stupid crap, so there's nothing they can do about it but waste all these money to their lawyers.

i decided to share this with you guys because i think we maybe able to get around their stupid micky mouse crap if we all think together and come up with a solution.

cheer

Honestly, do you expect anything less from microshaft? They try to dominate anything they get their hands into. They even had the gall to tell Apple that they need to quit developing QuickTime for Windows! I'm surprised they haven't tried to monopolize the video game market with their REX-box.

So freakin what... use a different codec for your vids. Not that ASF is the best compression algo there is for multimedia.
