Lead (Pb) into the Linux notebook Pinebook Pro (*big danger for consumer*)
Hello,
Lead (Pb) is into the Linux notebook Pinebook Pro (*big danger for consumer*)
Lead is very very toxic. Even on your hands. The ageing of Lead can cause the tiny atoms to get to other place, if temperature is greater than normal.
If you touch area with Lead, make sure you wash your hands, but ideally with cold or very cold water. Not hot water.
Fishermen have been handling lead weights since time began. Because the metal tastes sweet, there were problems caused when it was used as a sweetener by those who then didn't know better.
Don't let your pet or child chew or lick on pcb boards. If you can succeed in this, problem of lead poisoining from pcb boards in electronics while in home is solved. Real problem is that if you throw them in ordinary garbage, they end up in ordinary landfill. The rain water leeches lead out of the board into groundwater. Cumulative effect of a lot of dumping of electronics in a landfill is siginificantly contaminainating groundwater there for many human generations.
There IS still some lead in most electronic devices. Do we really need posters on our electronics that say "please do not lick or eat your computer"? The amounts on current devices are small, it is HARD to get any on your skin, and in the USA your water supply is likely to be a FAR greater source of risk. (Use a filter that removes dissolved lead from your water when using it for drinking or cooking.)
Distribution: Mainly Devuan, antiX, & Void, with Tiny Core, Fatdog, & BSD thrown in.

I lived in a house that had lead water pipes for 50+ years, & I'm still going strong at 74, so I wouldn't worry too much about what other people infer about lead....

Not bad... have you checked your Lead level in blood test.
People can have a reduction of values, after 1 year. Doesnt mean that values are better. Elements (Pb) goes into more deepeer into the cells/organs.
However, cancers can come later due to those things.
