Is there a tool that can quickly copy vhs tapes

I have a ton of old VHS tapes. A lot of them are getting old but I don't feel like spending 6 hours per tape copying the data to a new tape (the old ones are getting up there in age). I'd like to be able to back them up quickly and I was wondering is there a way to do this with VHS. Is there a way to copy them at high speed?

The problem with analog, is that (using inexpensive equipment) the copies must be done realtime. In other words, if you have 6 hours on a tape, it will take 6 hours to copy it. The good news is that once you copy to a digital format, the copies will no longer degrade.

There are also services that will do this for you, if you value your time. They can convert video tapes to standard DVDs, usually at a fixed rate per hour/tape. Check your local yellow pages

Thanx for the help but I could do it myself. I have a combo VCR/DVD Burner. It works very well (and can burn up to 10 Hours Per DVD) but it's still realtime and unfortunately if the tape gets a fluctuation (like needs the tracking adjusted) I can't adjust it after it's on the DVD.
