Is it me or did MS show a little respect to Linux just now?

Nope. They're just taking a turn on the SCO dance party. Giving a nod to IBM & Intel's contributions to Linux and OSS and affirming its enterprise capabilities helps to gel SCO's argument that the kernel project achieved its current state due to 'exposure' to SCO's source code.
