If you haven't already Google will give it to you!

If you haven't already received it, Google has "Updated" (there words) there polocies associated with everything they "TOUCH"! In your and mine behalf, because we don't know what we are doing. Does this sound like a small German with a mustache!!

If the above doesn't make sense to you it soon will!

I tried arguing this sort/type of thing before to no avail because of "Ringers", now maybe you will Get it!!!!!!

Now lets here some ringer coments! LOLAL!

This probably doesn't make sense to some/most, but stay tuned, "GOOGLE" will fill you in!

I think Lola is mad about google. Their mission statement is something like don't do bad things or such?

"Don't do evil," if I remember correctly.

Not sure that they always abide by it, but I'm sure that they think they do.

I have read that they have been working for some time to implement one TOS for all their different services; since they keep buying more stuff, that's a moving target. (Contrast Facebook, which keeps changing it TOS, in my opinion, so as to keep its users confused and off-balance.)

Google wants to touch everything. Their mission statement is, "All pieces of private information in every nook and crany is ours." Avoid them whenever possible.
And on a technical note,

I do avoid Google as much as I can. I have a Gmail account (comes with the phone) that I don't use, I don't G+, never comment on Google sites, don't use Google search, and so on.

I figure they know everything about me, but I sure as shootin' ain't gonna help them.

What's puzzles me is that persons get all up in arms about NSA surveillance (which is old news to anyone who pays attention), then run naked through Facebook and Google.

At least the government doesn't sell what it collects on the open market.

The thing about google that pisses me off at the moment most is that they removed the ability to turn the filter off in google image search. Google images used to be my #1 stop for porn; now i gotta take my business else where. disappointed.

You know that using Google products and services is a voluntary thing, right? If you don't like their terms, dump 'em. I did, over a year ago. One of the smartest moves I've made, and I don't miss anything.

One could say the same about breathing but if someone taxed Oxygen I am sure you would complain with the rest of us.

As this forum is about Linux I would have thought most contributors here would agree and support the concept of Free Software.

Not Free as in no financial cost but Free as Richard Stallman defines it.

By forum I meant linuxquestions.org not the sub-forum 'general'

Sorry for the confusion.

With distros like Buntu and Mint trying to entice Window's users with an free OS that is as easy to use as Windows, and including any proprietary crap to achieve that goal, many current Linux users are unaware of the philosophy of free software. To them, free simply means no monetary cost.

Mine doesn't have that little thing on the right like that. i have to open up a new page to see the settings. Either way, if i type 'big tits' not one picture is pornographic material. When i check the settings, safe search is apparently already turned off. Maybe it's an Australian thing i don't know. I tried to go to google.com.ca to see if the results are any different there, but i couldn't access it.
