you want to uninstall linux because the bootloader is too fast for you? just edit /boot/grub/grub.conf and change the line that says "default=0" to "default=1" to make the 2nd entry default, instead of the first. assumign that's windows and not linux, your default boot will then be windows, not linux. also theres a timeout= in the config file too, so you can increase that time if you wish

And if, like me, your computer BIOS forces you to boot to the Windows "NT Loader" instead of GRUB, there's a "timeout" setting in c:\boot.ini that you can change.

Note: From your comment, this is not the case with your system. But others may find it suggestive.

If your really want to completely remove Linux, just boot Windows, bring up the "Computer Management" screen, go to "Disk Management" and delete the Linux partition(s). Then boot from your Windows install CD or DVD), bring up the "Rescue" mode, and run the fixmbr command to replace the GRUB or LILO MBR with the "NT Loader" MBR.

You might want to change the deleted Linux partitions to NTFS or FAT partitions so you can use thaem from you Windows system.

If you're really bothered by having to select your OS, you might be better off deleting the obsolete and buggy Windows OS instead of Linux, but that's your choice. (Unless you've installed Vista, in which case the EULA gives Microsoft complete control of "your" computer. But that's another rant.)

I think that when a member do a classic hit-and-run like this asking to remove Linux, we should all point him/her to Microsoft's homepage with the relevant information:

http://support.microsoft.com/kb/314458

I think that doing so, we pass the ball to Microsoft and I'm sure they would love to help out.

We do, answer Windows questions here, but they tend to throw members against each other and it is always because of somebody with 0/1 posts who can't use google. So my suggestion is: let's all point those questions to Microsoft page. What do you think?

People joke, but I've heard how getting a different bed can drastically improve your sleep. More positive energy, better sleep.

Who exactly was being rude to you? So far, the only one being rude here is you typing it all in caps. I hope you know that capital letters is considered shouting.

Everybody replied in a normal way. The only one going a bit over the line was PatrickMay16, but he was not even replying to you...

And to sum up: You have made 2 questions/threads in this forum. The first one, regarding your "lost password" was answered 2 years ago and you did not even replied with a simple "Thanks" or "It worked". That is really rude to do as well. And now, you ask how to remove Linux, got a lot of good answers (which you also did not reply to yet) and posted "something" to everybody with caps. That is even more rude and put your true intentions in this forum into question for many of us (at least for me)

Excuse me?
I see an answer from Mega Man X, but you do not reply to any questions.
you want to uninstall linux because the bootloader is too fast for you?--You implied this in the OP.
How did the computer get this way in the first place?--Yes, the OP begs the question of why the computer is that way.
maybe another troll.--Hey, it happens.
WHY DO WE HAVE SO MANY RUDE REPILES --All caps are not rude?
The OP was short and somewhat puzzling. So what?
