You can't post images that are also links.

This was addressed by ondoho in the first reply you got.

Oh, wait. Was your question actually not about LQ at? Did you mean to post this thread in General, not 'LQ Suggestions & Feedback'?

Jeremy is a busy man. He saw the post in General or Linux-General and did not properly read it. But many here assumed more than was written. So it was moved here, you stroke home.

Since the OP is refusing to listen, this thread should be closed. Once again LQ does not support inserting a video link where you can watch videos from within LQ.

Just post the link and let people click on it...how hard is that?

I see. So when Ondoho clearly stated in post #2:

You decided the best response was to ignore that, and let everyone continue to labour under false assumptions?

Curious: was there anyone who responded that you would say did understand your question?

Just FTR for a time in the "What do you Listen Now" thread here in "General" a few posters did indeed manage to link youtube videos with the common red arrow indicating that it could be played here without ever seeming to leave the forum. Mouseovers revealed the URL and once launched a rt clk offered the option to copy the url and launch in another tab or window on the YouTube site. That practice ended after a short time since it started to reduce the number of posts per page and clog up the thread. I assume this is what Jeremy wishes to avoid, preferring an efficient, simple UI. I don't know if the posters were contacted and the exploit plugged or just exercised self-discipline but it no longer occurs, at least recently and shouldn't be done in respect for the TOS and the decidedly adult and exemplary moderation in this excellent Forum.
