No Jimi Hendrix, No Led Zeppelin

No JerrySpringer, No Civil Rights, No Women's Rights,

The United States of America is like Linux in at least two respects.

1) It is a product of the people, by the people, and for the people.

2) It's not perfect but it's pretty darned good.

Folks;

While we are being patriotic and patting ourselves on the back, let's keep in mind that this is an international forum. Also keep in mind that we very often run into people from other parts of the world that know more about the USA than we do. One of them may start reading you the stats on the various ways in which we are NOT #1.

Also, in an international forum, I hope you will not be surprised that our current president--in contrast to his predecessor--enjoys a great deal of respect from the world at large.

But--to be sure--be thankful that you can publicly criticize your president with impunity.

No doubt, however I really disagree with

I doubt seriously anyone from another country knows more about us than us?

And other countries like Obama cause he's an appeaser.
Obama is/has already destroyed our nation and soon we'll be socialists, then the new-world-order, then the end.

Happy Fourth of July to all Americans.
Without assigning numbers or listing goods and bads, it's a great nation.
So, have a happy holiday, yanks!

You'd be surprised actually...

Why? Because he is more diplomatic, that makes him an 'appeaser'?

He has? Last I checked it was Bush that has pretty much left the country in the state it is in now. Socialist? And Bush wasn't? Who was it that started the bailouts in the first place, and where were the republicrats then? Why weren't they shouting bloody murder when Bush was still at the helm?

I didn't vote for Obama either, but considering a few things, it would be a lot worse with that senile old fool Mccain, and Palin.

The fact that this is supposed to be the greatest nation on Earth, does not mean that a Commander In Chief must alienate the rest of the world, like Bush has. This is the most powerful nation in the world, but I seriously doubt it would be able to do much, with no allies behind it, and with the rest of the world with it's back against the US. Think about it for a second. And, lay off the 'foxnews' just a bit.

you have no idea of the influence that your country has, culturally.

Third,

Go and ask a Chinese, a Russian, an English or a French their opinion on that.

Please, spare us.

Nevertheless, happy Forth of July! I wish nothing but happiness, to all.

Anyway...Happy Birthday USA!

Thank you USA for giving the opportunity that I wouldn't have had if I would have lived in his "home" country...glad that we can call the USA home

...Now if we can just get the Socialist out of the White House before he messes up the country so much that I will have to move...maybe to Belgium

Why is it ok for other countries to be proud to be what they are...but it's "bad" to be proud to be an American?

You should be proud of being American, but the perspective "We're the best" is very relative.

My country was never threatened by Hitler or Russian, and the Germans themselves we're already plotting against him. He wouldn't last enough to conquer the rest of the Europe.

Yeah, like I'm going to take someone's opinion from Europe about the US as fact...

That's like "getting the facts about Linux" from Microsoft

On April 19th I will have a waffle in your honor and we'll call it even
