Microsoft releases major PowerShell update after long preview

Um, don't we *nixers already have all of that and more?

PowerShell is really cool. There's some really interesting differences when compared to Bash if you care to try it out and learn.

I found Powershell to be very underdocumented and difficult to learn.

I know the old version very well. I used to use it to repair peoples 'puters all the time at work in my old job for small and limp.

But, if you read the article, it even says that they're pretty much trying to make doze server in to *nix.

Yes, it seems that Microsoft doesn't publish a spec even for the grammar. You have to find out everything from blog posts in the style of "here's how to do this one wierd trick in Powershell".

So MS agree with the saying, "A sufficiently advanced operating system is indistinguishable from Linux." (I'm sure that used to be someone's sig on one of the Linux sites.)
