Drum Corps!


Any drum corps fans here?

nope.

however I bought a Garfield drum and bugle corps tshirt ("Beyond tuition!") from a charity shop in england 3 years ago. Last year i was at a gig and the drummer in the band (who i think were on top of the pops a few months back) came up to me and started drolling and pointing at me shirt. we assumed he was just a fruitcake, but he tried again later and it turned out he used to be in the corps all the way over in america. that was cool.

Garfield...you're probably referring to the Garfield Cadets (formerly the Holy Name Cadets, then Garfield Cadets, then Cadets of Bergen County, and now just The Cadets) of Hergenfield, NJ.

They're one of the best corps out there...amazing you should run into a drummer from there...wow. Their director's come under a lot of criticism lately (and with good reason) for some of the rule changes he's introduced lately, but still...Garfield Cadets...
