console like bash for windows


hi,

i know it's a little strange question, but i didn't find an answer in the www.
so i try it here.

does anybody a console like bash or something like that with which i can replace the cmd line utility of windows.

Closest I can think of is the DOS prompt, but in newer versions, I'm not sure it's available

You may want to check out the MSYS distribution. You can find it at:
http://www.mingw.org. Not quite as powerful as cygwin, but much
lighter. -dln-
