What a grim and sad outcome. Nevertheless, "on a plane from Europe to Los Angeles" is probably the worst possible place to suffer a heart attack.

Our family is in mourning, as are so many. She offended few, and befriended many, and will be missed terribly.

And then, one day(!) later, her mother, Debbie Reynolds, plunges through that same Eternal Door, having been heard to say, "I want to be with Carrie ..."

"Yes, yes, Debbie ... we understand about you and your daughter," and we know both that you miss her and that you now had the opportunity to forever join her on the Other Side (and that you apparently therefore chose to take full advantage of it) ... but ... what about the rest of us? I'm afraid that I don't see any paperwork here, signed (of course ...) in triplicate, that authorized you to do any such thing.

"Isn't 2016 over yet?" So many famous artists, of music, stage, literature and screen, that we have (so far!) lost in just this one wretched year ...

Nothing to suggest that it was intentional - and she literally died of a 'broken heart'. Apparently such emotional stress can cause a physiological reaction, and in this case death, but yeah 2016 will be the year of 'celebrity deaths' I think.
