I got a Xmas themed pajama onesie thing. It's got Santa, snowflakes, and snowman prints. I don't wear pajamas, but these are so warm that I'm having to rethink my stance on wearing anything other than jeans and t-shirt until bed time.
I also got an electric razor. It doesn't shave as close as a blade, but it also doesn't tear my skin up.
Last, but not least, I got a card with some nice words in it. Flattery just doesn't seem to go out of style.
I usually buy myself a present for Christmas (and also for my birthday) but sometimes the Good Lord sends me something and then I don't bother. One year I found a cast iron wok, and they're expensive to buy. Someone had thrown it out because it was encrusted with burnt stuff and they were too lazy to clean it up. It took me over a week to get it pristine, but that gave me a really nice piece of kitchenware. Before, I never did stir-fries, so it would never have occurred to me to buy a wok, but now I do one every week. The Steve Jobs principle: you don't know what you might want until someone gives it to you.
This year, for the first time in my life, I bought a new printer and did it online too! I've always been proud of my ability to adapt and reuse second hand or found stuff in a productive way, but this time I started with what I wanted (a simple inexpensive Linux-compatible monochrome laser printer), narrowed it down to one model and then bought that model. So I decided to treat this as an advance Christmas present for myself and didn't buy anything else.
I did however receive some nice edible presents from my dog-walking friends, mostly for Roger but a few for me too.
that i would need too.
or at least a good one - i have a cheap trimmer set with a nosehair adapter sort-of thingy.
being young, i never had nose hair.
growing older, hair grows - also inside the nose - but i still haven't gotten used to it. itches like crazy.

I tend to buy what I want for myself when I want it and, for various reasons, xmas presents haven't been part of my life for a number of years.
However, a friend who hasn't yet given up on me did, apparently, order me something and asked for my address to do so. I have to admit that my guesses range from a shot glass to a MacBook Air, the latter would be because he's become very wealthy without me knowing and wants to spite me, but I have no idea what it is or when to expect it.
To be fair the usual drill is a decent Scotch or similar.

Reason: typo's
I pretty much had the best holiday (both Christmas and New Years) in years. I received a wonderful, grammar-meannie coffee cup and "Wake the F Up" brand coffee to go with it, a bottle of Jack, and two hand-blown whiskey glasses. 2017 was a year that changed everything. In fact it was one year ago today that my ex-spouse said he did not want to be married anymore. I am very grateful to him for that.

Oh, yes, it turned out to be a snazzy wine set with a suitably impressive looking opener and some other good stuff. So, yeah, my one and only present was spot-on.
I'm amazed that cod liver oil was a treasured gift.
I don't get many gifts because I tell people that I don't want any. However I do give out gifts. Ma got a box of filet minion steaks. Steaks last longer than flowers. Cash was easy to give and no one minds me not wrapping it.

I got a 10" Galaxy tablet with 8 cores and a 7.3Ah battery, a Zeiss VR headset for my Galaxy phone, and a vacation in Florida with a great bunch of people including my wife's brother... and we went to see the new Star Wars while we were there.
