A hard time :( - Using CVS

I seriously trying guys but i can't for the life of me grasp the full concepts/workings of CVS / RCS. Do they have a "For Dummies" mannual out there er something? Would like to use CVS for a web-based project for Intranet use. The book i have "Instant PHP4" just doesn't cut it with it's 3 pages about cvs and cvshome.org is to advance. need like.. newb steps.

CVS can be used for everything. That's how I use it, BTW.
