Uninstalling an update under FC6

Is it possible to uninstall an update under FC6 that was done through yumex? I updated the kernel, gdm, and a few other things and now can't get the printer config utility to work. I know that yum/yumex can remove a program but does that change any links etc. back or just erase the program?

Thanks for any help you can provide.

See if the program can do a downgrade or something; if it can't, your next option is to force-install older version(s), and after that remove the new versions (only if needed, i.e. if the force-installing didn't remove them already).
