i really wanted a distor that did require hours of me fine tuneing everything. but i guess that is impossible. i guess i will wait until suse decided to ship its products.

RPM files are not associatied with any program. double clicking them just brings up the tab for choosing an application. why is that? so what is the program that handles RPM files?

getting the ATI radeon9600 to work?
i downloaded the drivers, cant install because RPM files for some FUBAR reason are not associated. well i can use the manual way, i hope.
i know i will have to do kernel level stuff. ATI has to be lame about it and give no information on useing their drivers.
Note: i know VESA drivers work, but i want full use of the card! other wise it was pointless to buy.

try running rpm -i filename as root in console instead of doubleclicking it.
