Problem upgrading to Fedora 11 from FC10

After updating all packages using yum, the computer restarts to continue installation using Anaconda. Because my /boot partition is only 100MB, it downloads the .img file and begins the GUI. I then receive the following error:

Dirty File Systems
The following file systems on your Linux sysstem were not unmounted cleanly. Please boot your Linux installation, let the file systems be checked and shut down cleanly to upgrade.

/dev/sda1
/dev/sda2
/dev/sda3

I have attempted restarting several times, as well as cold-booting, but to no avail. I have also already converted all partitions from /dev/sdb from ext2 to ext3, but this also did not solve the problem.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!
Thanks.

Thank you for your fast reply.

I booted into Knoppix and ran e2fsck as suggested. All partitions were reported to be clean. However, Anaconda still insists that /dev/sda1 and /dev/sda3 are dirty and asks me to reboot and allow them (sda1 & sda3) to be checked and shut down cleanly. Interestingly, sda2 mysteriously is no longer listed as dirty. Suggestions?

Thumbs up

Problem resolved. The solution was:
Fedora referred to my FIRST hdd as "/dev/sda",numbers 1-6, and my SECOND hard drive as "/dev/sdb", numbers 1-3.
Knoppix referred to my FIRST hdd as "/dev/sda", numbers 1-6, and my SECOND hard drive as "/dev/hda", numbers 1-3.

The real problem, however, is that ANACONDA referred to the FIRST hard drive as "/dev/sdb" and my second hard drive as "/dev/sda"

So I kept checking the FIRST hard drive when the problem was a completely separate physical drive!
