I have Xp running on my first hd, and have installed a 2nd hd for Fedora. It is properly recognised in the BIOS at boot, yet Fedora's install only offers hda as an option to install itself.
What could I be missing?
are u sure that ur hdb drive is fine
maybe u should try it making hdc or hdd
and can u se that disk in any other workuing OS,because i have seen some faulty disks whcih are there in the bios but not in the OS
this may happen due to faulty disk ot faulty cables
Thanks for your help.
Got it working, albeit in a strange way! I started the distro in rescue mode, fdisk my new disk with a new partition and then it liked it.
I guess Diskdruid is not as good as fidsk in detecting some HD states, probably a bad partition table, like the one on my HD.
