Insatallation Problem in FC9

Hi
I tried to install FC9 in desktop but could not succeed. I tried both in
Graphics mode and Text mode.

In Graphics mode, I could proceed up to " Enter Password for the Root
Users" after that system hangs. It neither proceed forward nor backward.

In Text Mode I got the Following message:

Running anaconda - Fedora system Inastaller ........

Trace Back (Most recent Call last):
File "/usr/bin/anaconda", line 624 in <module> input users

File "/usr/lib/anaconda/users.py", line 22, in <module> import
libusers

InputError: /usr/lib/libuser.s0:1 Can not read file data: Input/Output
error

Insatll exited abnormally [1/1]

My system Configuration are follows:

P4, 2.80GHz,
80 GB SATA Drive, IDE ATA/ATAPI controller
17" Samung SyncMaster 943NW, TFT-LCD monitor

I installed my laptop using the same FC9 DVD.

can any one tell me where is the problem. My desktop is an assembled one.

Thnaks

During the startup of the installation did you happen to "media check" the Fedora 9 DVD? or did you skip that part?

Hi akturuk,

Just a thought, what type of DVD/CDROM do you have, it could be the speed, dual layer or single?

I hope this is of help.
