Fedora 11 installation fails: cannot partition disk

Hello All,
Fedora 11 installation is failing on my laptop.
Anaconda installer exits with the error: can't commit changes to disk.
Cant commit after 5 attempts

I have an Acer laptop. I have set AHCI mode. Fedora 10 installed and worked fine.

It also corrupted my existing /boot partition and is giving me
grub> prompt

Luckily I know how to boot my Windows from here.

Please help

Thanks

there is a bug in the fedora 11 cd and dvd
use gparted to unformat the drive first then install fedora 11 .

search the forums .it is very well documented.
and look through fedoraforum

Seems a bit drastic for multi-boot system - mine has 6, one of which is F10, about to become F11.
I couldn't get to the link @John_VV posted, but this is mentioned under common bugs on the fedoraproject.org homepage. There is an update for Anaconda offered there that can be used during the install.

I deleted the linux partitions using my Ubuntu Live CD and then used
the free space for installing Fedora 11 and it worked
