FC4 and firefox/web browser problem

Ran FC2 on my desktop for about a year without difficulty.
Upgraded to FC4 yesterday....initial installation was smooth.
Immediately after installation, I downloaded Firefox 1.5 from the firefox site and installed. Since then, cannot access any website with any browser. Cannot ping any website.

Can play streaming audio with xmms, though, which strikes me as bizarre.

Any thoughts? Cannot find similar problem anywhere in the forum

You do realize that a firefox-1.5 rpm exists????

Undo the firefox install you did and install the firefox-1.5 rpm

Thanks for the response- figured out what happened....had to edit my eth0 configuration. During the upgrade, the automatic request for DNS info from IP was turned off. Working fine now.
