CD-ROM problem on Gateway Solo 5300
EDITED: My cdrom problem disappeared on second installation. However, the post-installation package installation problem is apparently a known bug. There's a patch for it, tho I only have the three-cd version at the moment (haven't tried to connect to my LAN yet), and therefore cannot recompile the kernel since I don't have the source code--I think...haven't gotten that far yet! However, popping in CD 1 and saying yes to autorun launched an installation program that handled the package installation just fine.

Hi all! I am in the process of working the bugs out of my first linux installation. I have Fedora on my laptop (per heading) with a personal desktop configuration.
I am attempting to install more packages using the Add/Remove programs tool, and have discovered a cd-rom problem. When I first boot, I am able to open the drive with the eject button, put in a cd, and the system recognizes it. However, after that I have to open the drive with a paperclip, new discs are not recognized, and the right-click 'eject' option does not work. I receive an alert that 'Nautilus was unable to unmount the selected volume. Looking at the details gives a message 'unmount: /mnt/cdrom: device is busy.
When attempting to install new packages, I put in the requested cd and click ok, but it is not recognized and I am again prompted each time I click ok. (Clicking cancel closes the add/remove box entirely.)
Has anyone had this problem? Is there a known fix? Should I try a reinstall?
Any suggestions are much appreciated!
