Boot hangup with Universal Host Controller Interface Driver v2.2

Been searching for an answer to this, and so far only found other people with the problem, but no answers.

Trying to install Fedora Core 2 on my Demension 2350, and it hangs up before getting to Anaconda, I end up with: <6> USB Universal Host Controller Interface Driver v2.2.

As I've seen, this is happening to people with the same box as me, the 2350. Anybody know a way around it? linux nousb works initially, but end up with usb errors later on.

Thanks in advance.
