Yum ?? Will it work ?

On a FC6 x86_64 box I want to install SeaMonkey but it requires gtk,
The gtk-i386 rpms but the gtk-x86_64 rpms only exist in the repos.
If I temp. copied from a i386 box the /etc/pki and /etc/yum.repos.d
folders and put them into the x86_64 box /etc directory, would this allow me to install the gtk-i386 rpms onto the x86_64 box using Yum
I realize that I would have to temporally move exiting pki and yum.repos.d
out of the x86_64 and put in the i386 repos.
I don't want to go through the hastle of going on the i386 repos and copy each gtk rpms and then being stuck with dependency problems.
Thanks goodness FC7 fixes this problem, but I don't want to go through a new install now.

thanks
Jim

Yum works just fine without redoing anything, just be specific;

yum install seamonkey.i386 gtk2.i386
