yum update problem

I am tryng to update a Fedora Core4 system. Whem I type :

yum update

I get :

---> Package kernel.i686 0:2.6.13-1.1532_FC4 set to be installed
--> Running transaction check
Error: Unable to satisfy dependencies
Error: Package GFS-kernel needs /lib/modules/2.6.13-1.1532_FC4, this is not available.

at the end.

What can I do to make it work?

First just try

Code:

yum update kernel

and then try the larger update with

Code:

yum update

to see if that works. I know nothing about GFS, but it looks like you need to have a kernel package installed and then install the GFS-kernel package of the same version.

The kernel update seems to be working. Do you think I will have to reboot before doing the yum update? Thank you very much for the help.

Reboot and into your new kernel and then do another update.
