YUM - Metadata file does not match checksum

I keep getting these errors when trying to use yum in Fedora Core 7:

[root@eric-wrkstn /]# yum update
Loading "installonlyn" plugin
Setting up Update Process
fedora 100% |=========================| 2.1 kB 00:00
primary.sqlite.bz2 100% |=========================| 3.8 MB 00:10
http://mirrors.tiatera.com/fedora/li...ry.sqlite.bz2: [Errno -1] Metadata file does not match checksum
Trying other mirror.
primary.sqlite.bz2 100% |=========================| 3.8 MB 00:13
http://ftp.linux.ncsu.edu/pub/fedora...ry.sqlite.bz2: [Errno -1] Metadata file does not match checksum
Trying other mirror.
primary.sqlite.bz2 100% |=========================| 3.8 MB 00:09

Trying other mirror.
primary.sqlite.bz2 100% |=========================| 3.8 MB 00:08
http://ftp.ntua.gr/pub/linux/fedora/...ry.sqlite.bz2: [Errno -1] Metadata file does not match checksum

These errors keep continuing and continuing while it tries a zillion mirrors and it never works. I treid removing repositories from the yum.repo's folder, but it doesn't help. The GUI tools like add/remove and the software updater both hang. I am assuming for similar reasons, but either way I can't update or add any software packages. Please help!

I had similar problems earlier and I suspect that the mirrors were probably syncing with the master ftp servers. I suggest you wait a few more hours and then try again. If the problem persists, try doing "yum clean all" and then update.

Well, it is the next morning, but I still have the same issue. I have tried "yum clean all" many times now, but still had no luck. If anyone can provide any further assistance that would be much appreciated.

I figured it out. Turns out it was my network card. I added a gigabit network card to my station and that's what screwed it up. That's what I get for picking up a Linkpro.
