X2goserver not working after Fedora 26 to Fedora 27 upgrade
I have been using X2go for quite some time. 1 Machine having the x2go server (Fedora 26) on it and a laptop (windows) and a fixed machine ( fedora 26 then 27 and now Fedora 28) both with x2go client installed. This system worked fine with no issues and was always there when I connected with one of the client machines.
The server uses Gnome as the desktop of when one is at the machine but has LXDE installed for use with x2go.
Since Fedora 26 is near end of life I decided to upgrade it to Fedora 27. This I did via the procedure as given by Fedora using "dnf". There were no problems with the upgrade.
However when I went to try to access the sever using x2go from both clients it would not work.
he clients appear to connect a X2go splash screen comes up and fades as if the remote desktop was about to appear, as it did when the Fedora 26 version of x2goserver was working. Just as I think the remote screen is about to be displayed the session terminates.
On the notice that come up, on he client machine, while trying to connect I have managed to get the last two lines of the notice before it closes.
The second to last line reads
"using shared memory parameters OK
Session terminating"
On the any of client machines I can run applications like
Putty and FileZilla back to the server machine that I trying to get the X2goservice to operate from. So I assume from this that the SSH is working ok as SSH s being used on both Putty and FileZilla. No parameters were changed on any of the clients.
I do not know were to look to get perhaps more detailed information from any logs.
On the Server X2goserver and x2gocleansessions are installed and are the F27 versions I have checked that the version installed is the same as that in the F27 repository
as far as I can tell x2goserver is running although I can not do a systemctl start x2goserver.service but systemctl start x2gocleansessions works
a ps aux |grep x2go shows two entries for for "x2gocleansessions" and and one for "x2go"
Again I do not know where the logs are to see if there is any further detail as to what the problem is.
Can any one assist please
